Body fat measured at 9.7%. Took day off to celebrate. (okay, it was the tendonitis in my left arm)

June 1, 2009 by polycritfinally installed that pullup bar in the basement so I can do the back workouts at home. Used 1/2 inch black pipe from Home Depot and attached it to the rafters.

Yesterday’s workout (chest/triceps) was intense but not too awful, and then did fairly well with the abs workout — actually almost made it all the way through. Today was plyo, which I followed with a 1/4 mile sprint.

May 1, 2009 by polycritStill at it. Did yoga last night at 10pm, then this afternoon did legs/back and abs. 176# today. Not a whole hell of a lot of energy, but did it.

Week 5, Day 3
April 22, 2009 by polycritFrom an aches and pains standpoint, Week 5 is reminiscent of Week 1, which is good, since it signals that we’re ratcheting the workouts up a notch. Today, did back and biceps and got a pretty good burn. Tonight, a couple of hours of pickup b-ball are in store. Good times.
176#.
Week 4, Day 4
April 16, 2009 by polycritTransition week. Yoga, Core Synergistics, Kenpo, and Stretch all down so far, and a couple of hours of hoops on top of Kenpo yesterday. Weighed in at 178 or so yesterday.
Tomorrow is Core Synergistics again, followed by Yoga again on Saturday.
Week 3 – finis
April 12, 2009 by polycritThree weeks down. Feeling changes since I began — I think I’m gaining some muscle mass, but that’s really beside the point — the difference in recovery time and lessening of post-workout aching is significant. First week, I woke up every time I moved at night with aching muscles and joints and stiffness. Now, I feel I have a good workout, but I don’t hurt much at all.
Week 4, recovery week, begins tomorrow.
